At Cumberland Medical Associates, we are committed to delivering exceptional Acute and Urgent care of airline, corporate, and other professional flight crew members (Pilots, Flight Attendants, etc.). You will have direct, one-on-one access to an experienced physician—anytime, day or night, year-round. If you are ill or injured, simply call or text us to receive immediate attention. Consultations are via phone and/or video call. Thorough documentation will be provided to obtain reimbursement from your insurance carrier.

With more than 25 years of experience in hospital, emergency, urgent care, travel, and aviation medicine, Dr. Carter specializes in supporting aircrew with acute health challenges in the demanding environment of flight. A U.S. Air Force Academy graduate and former USAF pilot, he is a retired airline flight officer with 54 years of flying experience and over 11,000 logged hours. Licensed to practice medicine for over 25 years, he also served as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA for a quarter century.
Initial Evaluation: During your first visit, I’ll carefully assess your needs and provide prescription services when appropriate, along with follow-up care and thorough documentation to support your health journey. Use this documentation to obtain reimbursement from your insurance carrier.
